Jane Austen Fun!

I just read on Meg Cabot’s blog about a Which Jane Austen Heroine Are You? quiz, so I had to stop working immediately and take it.

The result? You are Elizabeth Bennet of Pride & Prejudice! You are intelligent, witty, and tremendously attractive. You have a good head on your shoulders, and oftentimes find yourself the lone beacon of reason in a sea of ridiculousness. You take great pleasure in many things. You are proficient in nearly all of them, though you will never own it. Lest you seem too perfect, you have a tendency toward prejudgement that serves you very ill indeed.

Take the quiz here!

Take it and let us know who you are!

Meanwhile, this magically appeared on my desk today! Looking forward to taking it home and reading it:

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

Isn’t this just the best cover ever?

New Books!

Well, perhaps more accurately, this post isn’t just about new books, but the best way to find new books in the High School Collection. Some people at the library put together these awesome one click searches, as you can see here. In the column New In The Library and third from the top is New Teen Fiction. Just click on that to see all of our latest books. Simple eh?

On the list of the newest ones to come out, I can’t wait to read:
Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. Sounds super intense.
Lost in Austen by Emma Campbell Webster. A choose your own adventure type book- but in the settings of Jane Austen novels.
Soon I Will Be Invincible by Austin Grossman. Superheroes and villians. Fun.

See anything that catches your eye? Or what’s on your to read list? I’d like to know!
